Boston, MA, October 28, 2026 —
A sandwich chain has closed its location in Downtown Crossing. The available information does not identify the chain or provide the date of the closure.
The closure follows an earlier shutdown by the same chain: its Porter Square restaurant in Cambridge closed in 2018. No further details were provided about that closure or whether the two shutdowns are connected.
Information about the Downtown Crossing location’s final day of operation, the reason for its closure and any plans for the site was not provided. The available account also does not specify whether the chain operates other locations or has announced changes to its business.
The two reported closures establish that the chain has shut restaurants in Downtown Crossing and, previously, Porter Square. Beyond those details, the circumstances surrounding either closure remain unclear based on the information available. No statements from the chain, property owners or other parties were included.
