Creators can now deliver free episodes, subscriber-only audio, and video to Apple Podcasts from one dashboard — on a platform hosting video since 2022.

Most platforms are announcing video this year. We shipped it in 2022. Our creators didn’t wait for the industry to catch up, and now their video goes straight to Apple Podcasts.”

— Patrick Hill, Founder and CEO of Disctopia

CHARLOTTE, NC, UNITED STATES, August 26, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Disctopia, the independent podcast hosting and monetization platform, today announced native publishing to Apple Podcasts. Creators can now deliver shows, subscriber-only audio, and video episodes to one of the world’s largest podcast audiences directly from the Disctopia dashboard — through the Apple Podcasts Delivery API, with no separate uploads, no feeds to babysit, and no duplicate workflows.

For Disctopia creators, the video half of that sentence is not new. Disctopia has hosted video podcasts since July 2022, when it shipped video upload with automatic audio extraction to RSS — years before video became the industry’s default answer to podcast growth. What changes today is the destination: that same video now goes natively to Apple Podcasts.

What creators can do today

Publish directly to Apple Podcasts. Connect an Apple Podcasts account once. Disctopia handles delivery in the background — submission, episode updates, and status tracking, all visible from the Disctopia dashboard.

Offer premium subscriptions through the Apple Podcasters Program. Creators who enroll set their own subscription price from the Apple Podcasts tier list and control their free-trial and plan options. Apple Podcasts handles billing, refunds, taxes, and payouts to the creator. New subscriptions go through the Apple Podcasts content review, which includes publishing at least one subscriber-only audio episode before the subscription goes live.

Deliver video episodes to Apple Podcasts. Disctopia converts and delivers video in the HLS format Apple Podcasts uses — so creators reach Apple Podcasts listeners without standing up a separate video pipeline.

Publish with confidence. Every Apple Podcasts-bound episode passes through Disctopia’s own copyright pre-screen before delivery, because show owners are responsible for the rights to what they publish.

Video since 2022, not video since this year

Podcasting spent 2026 discovering video. Disctopia got there in 2022.

That July, Disctopia launched video podcast hosting for independent creators — upload a video, and the platform extracts the audio, syncs it to the RSS feed, and distributes to podcast apps and directories automatically. Video-specific analytics shipped alongside it. In 2025, Disctopia acquired Wavve, the audio-to-video tool, and folded its technology into the platform.

The result is that Disctopia creators are not being asked to learn video today. They are being handed a new place to send video they have been making all along.

“Most platforms are announcing video this year. We shipped it in 2022,” said Patrick Hill, Founder and CEO of Disctopia. “Our creators didn’t wait for the industry to catch up, and now their video goes straight to Apple Podcasts — alongside their free episodes and their premium subscriber audio, from one dashboard, at a price they set.”

Disctopia’s model has stayed consistent since launch: independent creators should own their audience and their economics. With premium subscriptions through the Apple Podcasters Program, that principle carries into Apple Podcasts — the creator picks the price from the Apple Podcasts tier list, the creator decides the trial, and Apple Podcasts handles the billing.
