Invitation-only community gives healthtech executives a trusted forum to exchange real-world insights, discuss challenges, and seek help from experienced peers
KATONAH, NY, UNITED STATES, August 19, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Black Talon Security today announced the launch of ONIX Alliance, the Healthcare Technology Leaders Exchange, a private community created for professionals responsible for technology, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and innovation across healthcare, dental, and behavioral health organizations.
As cyberthreats, artificial intelligence, cloud infrastructure, and healthcare applications become increasingly complex, technology leaders are often required to make consequential decisions without access to a trusted network of experienced peers. ONIX Alliance was created to address this challenge by providing much-needed peer insight and interaction.
The invitation-only community brings together technology leaders and executives from organizations of all sizes—ranging from independent practices to large, multisite healthcare systems. Through monthly discussions and educational sessions, members can openly share successes, discuss challenges, compare strategies, and ask for help from leaders who have faced similar situations.
Topics will include cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, cloud infrastructure, EMR and EHR platforms, technology governance, vendor management, regulatory compliance, and other issues affecting modern healthcare organizations.
“Healthcare technology leaders are solving extraordinarily complex problems, but many are doing so without a strong peer network,” said Gary Salman, Chief Executive Officer of Black Talon Security. “ONIX Alliance gives them a trusted place to ask, ‘Has anyone else encountered this, and how did you handle it?’ Our goal is to create an environment where leaders can learn from one another, share practical experience, and build relationships with peers they can turn to when challenges arise.”
The community’s educational direction is guided by the Guardians, a founding circle of experienced healthcare technology and cybersecurity executives. Guardians help identify relevant topics, lead discussions, share lessons learned, and ensure that the community remains focused on the real-world needs of healthcare technology leaders.
“We carry tremendous responsibility as healthcare technology leaders for the systems that support patient care, protect sensitive information, and keep organizations operating,” said Andy Taylor, Chief Information Officer of Children’s Surgery Centers and a founding member of the Guardians circle. “ONIX Alliance gives us a place to have honest conversations about what is working, what is not working, and where we need help. We are better prepared and the organizations we serve are stronger when we are not trying to solve every problem in isolation.”
Membership is application-based and limited to qualified professionals holding internal technology, infrastructure, cybersecurity, or related leadership roles within healthcare organizations. The community is educational and non-commercial, with no membership fees or sales pitches.
While live roundtables are confidential to foster candid discussion, key educational insights will be available on a dedicated YouTube channel for the broader healthcare IT community. Membership is strictly vetted and limited to select internal operators to maintain alignment.
Black Talon has named Jessica Lamers, a respected connector within the DSO and healthcare communities, as ONIX Alliance Community Manager. She will oversee membership development, community engagement, programming, and collaboration among members.
The inaugural public ONIX Alliance roundtable will take place on Wednesday, August 26, 2026. Eligible healthcare, dental, and behavioral health technology leaders can learn more and express interest in joining at onixalliance.org.
