Acquisition brings EWC to 147 locations, including 21 Clean Express locations across Detroit and Flint

COLUMBUS, Ohio and DETROIT, Oct. 9, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Express Wash Concepts (EWC), one of the nation’s leading express car wash operators, today announced the acquisition of three Clean Hub Car Wash locations in metro Detroit. The acquisition expands EWC’s portfolio to 147 express car wash locations across six states, including 63 Clean Express Auto Wash locations.

The newly acquired locations in Shelby Township, Sterling Heights and Oxford will temporarily close beginning Oct. 9 as EWC invests in renovations, upgraded equipment, technology and branding enhancements. All three locations are anticipated to reopen in mid-November under the Clean Express Auto Wash brand, bringing its total footprint across Detroit and Flint to 21 locations.

Membership billing will be waived during the temporary closures, while members enjoy complimentary unlimited washing at other Clean Express or Express Wash Concepts locations. No action is required from existing members to receive these benefits.

EWC plans to celebrate the reopenings with grand opening festivities and Free Wash Week events at all three locations. Additional details will be announced as renovations progress.
