AUSTIN, TX, UNITED STATES, October 1, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Intterra today announced that AwareCA is now available in the Apple App Store and Google Play. Developed by Intterra in partnership with California public safety agencies, AwareCA connects residents and visitors with free and timely emergency information directly from the agencies managing incidents. The app brings incident updates, interactive emergency maps, evacuation warnings and orders, and other critical information together to help people stay informed during emergencies.

As previously announced, CAL FIRE selected Intterra-developed AwareCA through a competitive process to establish a new statewide public safety information platform for California. The platform helps public safety agencies share authoritative updates with the communities they serve, reducing the need for residents to piece together information from scattered sources during rapidly evolving incidents.
“California communities face increasingly complex threats, including wildfires, floods, hazardous materials, and other large-scale emergencies,” Wolf continued. “The demand for reliable public information has never been greater.”
AwareCA’s community features are free and enable users to:
1. Save locations of interest and customize notification distances.
2. Receive incident alerts directly from participating public safety agencies.
3. View incident updates, evacuation warning and order zones, and shelter and assistance locations.
4. Choose map views and hazard layers.
5. Follow incidents and share information with family, friends, and other contacts.
6. View response aircraft and flight paths.
7. Access Caltrans traffic cameras and ALERTCalifornia wildfire cameras.
