Lukas Simianer, founder and CEO of VetClaims.ai, hosted a fundraising dinner benefiting Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, the Republican nominee for the United States Senate, on Saturday, Aug. 29, 2026.

Held at Coal Ranch in the heart of the Texas Hill Country, the evening brought together business leaders, veterans, entrepreneurs, community members and supporters of Paxton’s campaign. Guests gathered for an evening featuring Texas barbecue, refreshments, live entertainment, a cigar bar, trap shooting and opportunities to connect with fellow attendees.

The dinner offered supporters a setting where they could learn more about Paxton’s campaign for the United States Senate while discussing issues affecting Texas and the nation. Conversations throughout the evening reflected a range of priorities important to attendees, including veterans’ services, national security, economic opportunity, border policy, federal spending and the future of Texas representation in Washington.

For Simianer, hosting the event represented an extension of his involvement in veterans’ advocacy, entrepreneurship and civic leadership. A Purple Heart recipient and former 82nd Airborne Division paratrooper, Simianer was wounded while serving in Afghanistan. After returning home, he experienced firsthand the difficulties veterans can encounter while navigating the Department of Veterans Affairs disability benefits system.

Those experiences eventually inspired him to establish VetClaims.ai, a veteran-owned technology company that helps former service members organize evidence and prepare file-ready VA disability claims. The company combines AI-assisted technology with mandatory human review, providing veterans with additional structure and guidance as they move through the claims preparation process.

Through his work with VetClaims.ai and other veteran-focused initiatives, Simianer has advocated for stronger systems of support for former service members and their families. He has also promoted the responsible use of technology to address administrative obstacles that can prevent veterans from accessing the benefits and services they have earned.

The November election will determine who represents Texas in the United States Senate. The outcome will affect the state’s voice in federal decisions involving national security, veterans’ services, border policy, energy, federal spending, judicial appointments and constitutional rights.

The Coal Ranch gathering provided supporters with an opportunity to participate in the political process while enjoying a distinctly Texas experience. The combination of barbecue, entertainment and outdoor activities created an informal atmosphere for conversation and relationship building among attendees from different professional and community backgrounds.

The event also highlighted the growing role veterans and veteran-led businesses play in civic life. Veterans bring firsthand experience in service, leadership, national security and public institutions to broader discussions about government and the country’s future. Veteran entrepreneurs also occupy a unique position at the intersection of military service, business development and community engagement.

By hosting the dinner, Simianer helped create a space where those perspectives could be represented alongside the voices of business owners, community leaders and other Texans. The gathering reflected his belief that veterans should remain actively involved in public policy conversations, particularly when those discussions concern the institutions, benefits and opportunities available to military families.

The event marked another chapter in Simianer’s work beyond the technology sector. The Aug. 29 dinner concluded after an evening of food, entertainment, outdoor activities and discussion among supporters. Through the gathering, attendees had the opportunity to engage with Paxton’s Senate campaign, connect with others from across the Texas business and veteran communities, and take part in the civic process ahead of the November general election.
