(NASDAQ: MNTK) (“Montauk” or the “Company”) and its subsidiary, Montauk Renewables Ag, LLC, announce that Sampson County leaders joined Montauk’s Chief Executive Officer, Sean McClain, and members of its Board of Directors to celebrate the official opening of the Company’s Turkey, NC facility. The project represents a $200 million capital investment and commitment to rural North Carolina.

Senator Jackson serves as Chairman of the Appropriations Base Budget Committee and Chairman of the Agriculture, Energy and Environment Committee in the NC Senate.
Agriculture has an annual economic impact of more than $100 billion for the North Carolina economy, according to the N.C. Department of Agriculture. It is the state’s top industry, supporting roughly one in five jobs and spanning more than 42,000 farms across 8 million acres.
