Security Benefit Life Insurance Company (“Security Benefit”) announced it has extended its sponsorship of professional golfer and Topeka native Gary Woodland for an additional four years, continuing the partnership through 2030.

The extension follows a standout 2026 season for Woodland, who returned to the winner’s circle with a victory at the Texas Children’s Houston Open after overcoming significant health challenges. Woodland went on to record six Top 10 finishes, climbing from No.125 at the beginning of the year to No.43 in the Official World Golf Ranking and qualifying for the season-ending FedEx Cup TOUR Championship.

“We are incredibly proud to continue our partnership with Gary through 2030 and congratulate him on a tremendous season,” said Doug Wolff, CEO of Security Benefit. “Gary’s perseverance and determination have always made him a natural partner for Security Benefit, and those qualities have been especially evident throughout his journey over the past several years. We are proud to have Gary representing Security Benefit and look forward to continuing our partnership.”

Born and raised in Topeka, Woodland shares Security Benefit’s deep roots in the city and longstanding commitment to the local community. That connection has been central to the partnership, including shared values and reaching out to help those in need. The 20/30 Club of Topeka Children’s Benefit Auction and Gala honored Woodland at this year’s event in recognition of his inspiring career and hometown pride. Woodland won the U.S. Open in 2019 and received the PGA Tour Courage Award in 2025.

“Security Benefit has been an outstanding partner, and I’m immensely grateful for their continued support,” said Woodland. “What has made this partnership so meaningful is that it extends beyond golf. We share a strong desire to make a positive impact on Topeka, and I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished together so far. There’s more to do and I look forward to continuing our relationship both on and off the course.”
